PP Philosophy...

There are two types of people on Fb
either they are good or they are bad
if they are good,
then there is nothing to worry about.
If they are bad,
there are two things to worry about
either they will back stab you or they will not
if they don't back stab you,
there is nothing to worry about
but if they back stab you,
there are two things to worry about
either you also desire to back stab him
if you don't desire to back stab him back

there are two things to worry about
if you are back stabbing him fairly or not
if you are back stabbing him fairly
there is nothing to worry about
but if you are back stabbing him unfairly
there are two things to worry about
either you are bad yourself or you are not
if you are not bad
there is nothing to worry about
but if you are bad yourself
he is the right person as your friend...!!

haqeeqat...khwaab

Kisi ko dekh ke yun lagta hai mujhe
jaise use main sadiyon se jaanta hun
jaise koi kami meri puri ho gayi ho
jaise main apne hee kisi khwab se mil raha hun
jaise us se milkar main khud se ajnabi ban raha hun
jaise main haqueeqat mein apne khwab ko dhundhne laga
jaise wahi meri mahfil wahi meri maqsad hai
jaise aaj pahli baar chaha neend na aye mujhe
jaise haqeeqat khwaab se behtar ho
kisi ko dekh ke yun lagta hai mujhe....

I don't care...

It's very easy to say Idc...I don't care..
it's very easy to say, I don't care what other people think of me
it's very easy to say, I don't care how they see me
and I don't give two hoots what they say about me...
WRONG...
It's not all that easy..
it may never work out in reality...
we live in a society
and our family friends always come first
at every stage of our lives
you just can't deny this
howsoever modern you may become in your "attitude"
you can never say..
at the end of the day, it's just between, I Me Myself...
because, it's always between we us and ours...
Have a great day Friends...

Agnipath...the path of fire in my voice...

Dear Friends, Harivansh Rai Bachchan is an excellent Hindi poet and he is also the father of superstar Amitabh Bachchan...
I love almost all his poems and can recite most of them without referring to the lyrics.
I would love to share with you the famous poem Agnipath which means the path of Fire...
Vriksh hon bhale khade,
hon ghane hoN bade,
Ek patra chhanh bhi
maang mat, maang mat, maang mat,
Agnipath, Agnipath, Agnipath.

Tu na thakega kabhi
tu na thamega kabhi
tu na mudega kabhi,
Kar shapath, Kar shapath, Kar shapath,
Agnipath, Agnipath, Agnipath.

Ye Mahaan Drishya hai,
Chal raha Manushya hai,
Ashru, swed, rakta se
Lathpath Lathpath Lathpath..
Agnipath, Agnipath, Agnipath.

That was in roman Hindi and here's the English translation:
Even if there be trees
shady and huge,
for the shade of a single leaf
don't ask, don't ask, don't ask..
Walk on the Path of Fire, Walk on the Path of Fire..

You will never stop,
You will never halt,
You will never turn,
Take this oath, take this oath, take this oath
Walk on the Path of Fire, Walk on the Path of Fire..

It's a great scene,
The man is walking,
in tears, sweat, and blood,
soaked, swathed,
Walk on the Path of Fire, Walk on the Path of Fire..
You can watch the same being recited by me in a live performance in front of thousands of audience at RSI Secunderabad

Rabindranath Tagore's Gitanjali in my voice...in Bengali and English...

Good evening friends,
Rabindranath Tagore (Thakur) the author of Gitanjali (An offering of songs ) became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913. Gitanjali has profoundly fresh, beautiful and sensitive poems. Needless to say the Nobel prize was given for the English version of Gitanjali. Let me share with you one of the poems of Gitanjali...
Alo amar, alo ogo, alo bhubon bhora
alo noyon dhoa amar, alo hridoe hara.
Nache alo nache, o bhai, amar praner kachhe --
baje alo baje, o bhai, hridoe binar majhe --
jage akash, chhoţe batash, hashe shokol dhora.
Alor srote pal tulechhe hajar projapoti.
Alor đheue uţhlo mete mollika maloti.
Meghe meghe shona, o bhai, jae na manik gona --
patae patae hashi, o bhai, pulok rashi rashi.
Shuronodir kul ḍubechhe shudha-nijhor-jhora.
English Translation...
Light, my light, the world-filling light, the eye-kissing light, heart-sweetening light! Ah, the light dances, my darling, at the centre of my life; the light strikes, my darling, the chords of my love; the sky opens, the wind runs wild, laughter passes over the earth. The butterflies spread their sails on the sea of light. Lilies and jasmines surge up on the crest of the waves of light. The light is shattered into gold on every cloud, my darling, and it scatters gems in profusion. Mirth spreads from leaf to leaf, my darling, and gladness without measure. The heaven's river has drowned its banks and the flood of joy is aboard.

LOL

I must have lived in every corner of India...
I can understand most of the languages..
can talk in many languages and sing in 9 languages...
and I have actually lived in all the metros of India...
I felt the language spoken at Lucknow is the best form of Hindi...
and Hindi spoken in Haryana and my present place Hyderabad is worst
Telugu is spoken best at Vishakhapatnam and Vijayawada
but you can definitely hear a morphed and distorted Telugu in Telangana
Hollywood movies propagate American English...
less said, the better about American English...
If you want to qualify in a competition, elocution, debate, interview...
you need to know British English...
I feel sorry to read the FB status updates and comments thereof...
which is neither British nor American English...
it is worse...
it is full of internet slang viz. LOL..Laughing out Loud
and of course, ROFWL...
God save this strange breed of FBians...
and God save me from their emoticons...:-)

wonder, will they ever learn to express themselves a little better...??

The popularity of FB & YouTube...

Facebook and YouTube are the best possible medium of our contemporary world...
every one wants instant information and people have short attention span...
People don't want to spend money on classics and books anymore..
because, the same is available freely on the net and much more faster and much easier to read...
People hate to read lengthy posts/poems/opinion...
they want succinct ideas in clear and easy words..
there are no takers these days for expensive poetry anthology and same applies to novels, stories and fiction writings...
People hate to watch long movies...
they just want to watch one hour plus movies...
people now want absolutely new themes and ideas...
they detest the idea of reading anything which they already know..
yes, let me reiterate, people do read Facebook posts...much more than any other newspaper, book or watching television...
YouTube and Facebook are the short cuts to fame and becoming a celebrity overnight these days...

The unforgettable Principal...of AVN College, Vishakhapatnam.

Brinjal is also known as aubergine and eggplant...
well, we call it Vankaya in Telugu...
and of course in Hindi, we call it Baigan...
But if you talk about Vankaya to any Mrs. A.V.N. College student..
he would tell altogether different meaning of this word..
if you are a student of A.V.N. college, of Vishakhapatnam...
you'd understand me better...
we used to call our principal of Mrs avn college..those days as Vankaya... Vankaya was his nickname...due to his small chutaiyya...miniature pony tail kept by Brahmins on religious grounds ..considered holy...resembling a brinjal..( with his face included )
he was a great disciplinarian and a scholar...
nobody could even imagine to talk to him or have an access to him..
He could be seen from a distance because of his tall personality and stocky built...
He was a scholar in Telugu...
He used to come often on AIR Vishakhaptnam Radio for some talk on philosophy or culture...
My favorite program used to be his talk during " Sookti-muktavali " aired everyday at 7 a.m. where he used quote some Sanskrit shloka/quotation and its meaning thereof...
My first meeting with him was a strange coincidence...
Our Hindi teacher went and complained to our Principal that we have a student in our intermediate class who tells a different meaning of every doha I explain to our students...and that he loves to tell three different possible meanings for each doha...( Kavi ka bhaavarth ye hai ...)...
she was very satisfied when I was called to the Principal's office immediately...in her presence..
rather than reprimanding me, the principal asked me to pick up any book from his shelf...as my gift/ prize ...my Hindi teacher was shell-shocked with his behaviour...
he continued to be my best friend in the college as long I was a student there...
the last time, I met him, was for taking a conduct certificate from him, before I joined my MBBS course at Andhra Medcl Collge..
many years later, when I was working as a Doctor somewhere, I went to his house to meet him...
I was told...he died 5 years ago...
I can never forget him....my Vankaya garu...

who's not a genius...??

The person who thinks, he knows all can never be a genius..
the person, who does not operate from a transformational perspective, is not a genius ...
the guy who does not talk about new ideas, and the guy who does not share his information and data can't be called a genius ..
the person who does not update himself constantly and the guy who does not read books is not a genius ...
and lastly, the person who fear change ain't a genius.

The passion...

I always wanted to see this movie for the last ten years...
finally saw it today...in our club
the movie's name is The Passion of the Christ...directed by Mel Gibson...
it is based on final hours of Jesus Christ and his crucifixion...
interestingly, the son of God was accused of blasphemy and was mercilessly beaten and crucified to his death...this was shown in an exceedingly long and merciless act of gore and violence...and the whole movie was nothing but this with few glimpses of pleasant past memories as flashbacks.....I wish, the violence could have been shown in a more presentable way...but still, I would strongly recommend this movie to be watched...

incorrigible romantic...

I was an incorrigible romantic since my early childhood...
much beyond anyone's guess...
I fell in love with Sadhna of yore...
when I saw her onscreen when I was barely five years old...
I used to adore her looks and her fringe
well, finally I met a girl of my age when I was in class five..
and her name was Madhu Wadhwani...
she used to be brilliant in elocution and studies
Within no time, I was relegated to second position in class ranking after her arrival in our school of Rourkela...
I used be a shy and introverted child...who never spoke to any girl and could never imagine to participate in debates and elocution...
Madhu was a champion debater...
but I used to be more interested in her fringe hairdo...
and I never missed a single opportunity to follow her till she reached her residence..
One fine day, I saw her in films...but with a new name Baby Sonia...
yes, Neetu singh (nee Baby Sonia ) in her maiden film Do Kaliyaan...looked exactly like my Madhu Wadhwani...with her fringe...
My search never ended for a girl with a fringe
fringe always fascinated me
these days, fringe may be outdated
but it has never lost its charm for me...

Miss India World...in my show...

It must be a record for Agra Club...
I compered hundred percent programs of Agra Club between 1996-98.
I must be having hundreds of videos of that period but they are in video cassette form..they need to be digitized to be uploaded for the computer.
Recently, I had been to Agra Club and met the organizers there...
they told me, after I left they don't permit any member to compere any event..they outsource everything...and they give this to event management people...
strange, during my time, I did all this single handed...
Let me share with you a picture where Miss India World 1998 Miss Annie Thomas participated...and I did the entire compering of the event...

Rendezvous...

I have translated few Telugu songs earlier
but I never translated my own poem ever
today, I've tried it...
I'm sure, you'll like it...
Mulaakat
Meri aankhon ko usi ki talaash rehti hai
saans bhi loon toh khushboo usi ki aati hai
shayree karna usi ne sikhaya
pyar mein behosh hona bhi
uski baaton mein ek nasha hai
uski hansi mano meri muskaan ban gayi hai
parchhayee uski mere dil o dimaag mein bani hai
har lamha mera usi ne churaya hai
nadaan hain hum
hairaan hai ham
apne isee sawalon se
pareshan hai ham ki
kya sapne mein woh mil jaye
toh mulakaat kahenge ham...??
ENGLISH TRANSLATION...
Rendezvous...
My eyes long for her..
even my breath smells of her fragrance..
she taught me poetry
and to become oblivious of everything but her love
I'm mesmerized by her words
her laughter has become my smile
her thoughts cloud my mind n heart
I dedicate every moment of my life to her
I'm naive
I'm amazed
I have no answers to
my own query
I wonder
if my dreams of her
is our rendezvous...

Chandan sa badan...

I started singing much later in life...
During my MBBS days, I was required to sing in a Telugu group song...
During the rehearsals, I was humming a Hindi song during the break..
a classmate of mine heard it ...she told me...I sing very well..and why don't I participate in the College singing competition...
I told her, I don't even know the entire lyrics of the song I was humming...
She wrote me the lyrics of the same song on a piece of paper with her pencil..
Well, I did sing the same song in the competition keeping the same paper in front of me ...and I did win a prize ...
and the song was...Chandan sa badan...
Today, the same classmate is the leading Gynaecologist of Hyderabad.

Let's face (book ) it...

Frankly, I feel, someone's nature, character and the way they behave rarely changes. To some extent, attitude may be changed with training, persuasion, and self- motivation, but the general nature of a person rarely changes.
A good person remains good and a bad remains bad at the end of the day.
Facebook is a great platform to study the various natures of various friends...
Some are very friendly, they even acknowledge your mere liking their post...
Some are haughty, they definitely think, they are better than others...
they rarely acknowledge your likes, comments and your posts.
Some are short-tempered, they get angry very quickly...they either insult you with their rude and offensive remarks and sometimes, they go to the extent of defriending you..just because, you were not subservient to their wants and posts.
Some are still strange, they visit you only once in a year or so, and you can expect to read something awfully bad about yourself from them.
Some are still mysterious and strange...they would pose to be your friend but they would inbox all wrong things about you to your common friends.
Some pose to be intellectuals, but if you read carefully, nothing about them would be original, it is either a copied stuff or rehash of old ideas in a new bottle.
Some are only show-offs, they try to impress others by things which they never own and try to tell others which they can never do.
Some are here only for political links, political ambitions...they would never appreciate even the best and obvious goodness of other party members...they just want to hear and write only about their party..and they are strangely oblivious to their own failings.
Well, nobody is perfect, but there's no harm in trying to be better than what we are...
dear friends, let's change our attitude if not our nature...

Ishq...

Amit Harsh
Do listen to the one minute recording in my voice attached with this...

Believe it or not...
I rarely read the newspaper delivered each day at my doorstep
Soujanya reads it, I pay the bill ...but I am better informed.
I rarely watch a television, I subscribe to airtel DTH...I pay the bill,
Soujanya never misses a program, but I know much more than her..
what is happening on TV and news...
I don't look at my watch anymore, I think, it's redundant
but I always know the right time...exact time, with no mistakes
I don't watch all the movies, Soujanya never misses a movie on TV
But I know much more than her about all the movies
Soujanya loves FM and never misses a new song as well as old
but I know almost everything about old and new songs...
Soujanya never misses to carry an encyclopedia and a dictionary
I don't have a dictionary nor an encyclopedia
but everybody calls me an encyclopedia...
Soujanya hates Facebook, Google, YouTube, ...and networking
I love Facebook, Google, YouTube, networking, my computer and
my smartphone...ha ha

Valentine's day...

You might call it a hogwash...rubbish...but the truth says something else...even the most reticent express their feelings on this day.
I would request you all to X-press yourself ...
It's that time of the year again when Love is in the air
and hearts are everywhere...St Valentine bids you to live on love and fresh air.
Love isn't all hearts and flowers and that wonderful floating on air kind of feeling...it's much more than that...
Valentine's day convention says to waltz on thin air ...glide on galaxies with your partner. Yes, Love is all around you...
Love is a powerful feeling,
an intense, heady emotion...
Let's talk about love...
some call it a mental disease
and some, the reason to live...
whatever, it may be,
this four letter word has inspired reams and reams of poetry, prose, debates and songs...
Pyar toh pyaar hai, pyaar ka umra se kya wasta...??
Pahli mohabbat ke kabhie na bharne wala
zakhm toh aapko yaad hoga hee...
Pehli mohabbat ka kaisa bhee asar ho..
Zindagee bhar yaad rehta hai..
zehan mein ek kashmakash...ek khayaal...

real education...

Education has altogether different meaning for me...
I give maximum importance to learning languages.
I find it strange, if a person thinks knowing English is education.
Yes, it may be, but only if you know your mother tongue and other languages also equally well.
Today's genNext does not know much about our rich culture and great history. They give least importance to know about our culture and our heritage.
Believe it or not, I never thought for a second to go abroad because I know, my one life is not enough to know the various Indian languages, various forms of dances of India, music, religions, food, architecture, customs of India...list is endless.
Let me quote a line of a song, I love to sing ( but with altogether different meaning )...
Mere khuda mujhe tu..ek aur zindagee de....( to know and Love my India )

Exuding confidence...??

Exuding ( oozing ) confidence is very easy
improve your posture. walk, eye contact and smile
benefits are too many
change your facial expression right now
even if you are feeling a bit low right now
try an expression of a smiling you right now
this will send a message to your brain
and then, you'll actually feel happy and confident
trust me...and try this...
Have a great day...

Time Pass

Why can't film makers make movies like Time Pass
Time Pass is a Marathi film which could be better than the best movie
you ever saw...
It as an entertaining experience which cannot be described
the movie is extremely low budgeted
my one month salary can produce this movie
the movie proves, Love can happen successfully
irrespective of education,
and socio-economic status...
I wish my movie maker friends of FB( DrMrunalinni Patil and many more )
take a note of this
I must confess
I used to watch even super flop movies
just to see what must have gone wrong
Many a times, I felt
the same movie could be released again with few cuts and editing
And I assure you, the same movie can become a great hit at the box office...

Beyond the ordinary...

Dear Friends, I had a strange habit of comparing people and finding rare resemblances between people, which others rarely notice, since my childhood. During my college days, I used to be more interested in noticing the manners of speaking, walking and the body language than what the lecturers were actually speaking. Many a times, I could recall vividly the joke shared in the class room decades ago, which the person who actually said it might have forgotten about it. I used to visualize things which are of least importance to others and in the bargain, I used to miss the important things, which should be memorized for academic excellence. Frankly, I must have told on many occasions, that this girl resembles Jaya Prada, this girl speaks like Jaya Sudha, my friends never agreed to my observations, moreover, they used to give such comparisons least priority compared to other important things of life.
Well, let me get down to brass tacks, I find uncanny resemblance between my friend Pratibha Shalini and Elizabeth Hurley....I'm sure, you won't agree...ha ha..have a great weekend friends...
