Once Upon a time Dobara...

Just saw the movie Once upon time in Mumbai dobara. It is another love story rather than being any gangster movie. First half is terribly slow and boring but next half is okay. Akshay has done a convincing negative role. Sonakshi was perfect with both the heroes in the movie. Imran khan was just satisfactory. The best scene of the movie was the scene where Shoaib tests Aslam's integrity after 12 years of being adopted by him. Songs and item numbers are terrible. Akshay Kumar tries desperately to get some heaviness in his voice especially in the first half, I wish, he could have tried his own original voice and Imran was a bit stylish in his clothes and was looking a bit misfit in the entire first half but in the next half he really acted well. I may not recommend this movie for you...to watch " Dobaara "

Confidence....

Interestingly, we meet many people in our life and also on Facebook who try to undermine our confidence. Nobody is perfect and no one in this world knows everything. It is really difficult to improve if many people criticize us on our weaknesses. But we must know that all of us are good at some things and may not not be good at many others. Confidence and success do matter in life. I feel, confidence is plain positive attitude and a frame of mind. Good health, good skin, good posture, good hair and good nutrition bring confidence and of course, dress too helps. Confidence makes you look attractive and makes you popular. My personal mantra for being confident is very simple : spend some time in the gymnasium and some time everyday in learning something new.

Wolverine...

Just saw the movie Wolverine. The leading character Hugh Jackman showed more of his body and minimal emotions. The fight scene atop the Bullet Train was well filmed. And Wolverine pinned down by hundreds of arrows was a silly idea.Wolverine's physical trauma and near mortality was well shown. I did enjoy the movie, but I can't recommend it...avoidable...!!

White House Down...

Just saw the movie, White House Down. Although it has hard to believe storyline, it was sleek and extremely interesting movie. Who would believe a father-daughter duo would save the white house and America; but it was presented in a very nice way. The movie is a mixture of action, comical one liners and of course has a

fast moving emotional narrative. The cast is brilliant and well enacted, especially the daughter. I have read the review of this movie before watching it...the review mentioned it to be avoidable. Sorry, the movie is watchable...rather extremely good !!

Educator...

I am not an educator.
But would like to give some advice to teachers.
Teaching should encourage active learning, not passive.
You tend to make children passive learners by constant spoon feeding.
Constructive knowledge should be built in the minds of the children.
Children should be able to constantly reconstruct their knowledge with new information.
And yes, active learning means involving them in situations where they can use their prior knowledge.
The learning child should keep asking why for everything and never rest till he gets his reply.

World War z....

Just saw the movie World War Z of Brad Pitt. I did mention about Brad Pitt, because only Brad Pitt could pull the movie although it was all about zombies. World war z is an action movie with powerful performance by Brad Pitt and with great visuals. Most scenes of this movie remain inexplicable and very frightening and tragic. The movie full of big budget spectacle. You may like it...

Ramaiya Vastavaiyya...

Just saw the movie Ramaiya Vastavaiyya, a Prabhu Deva's film. Not bad, as I thought and people conveyed to me. It is also Telugu remake movie. Hero was okay. Shruti Hassan acted well and Sonu Sood was really good. Prabhu Deva's item number with Jacqueline Fernandez was silly and out of place. Interestingly, Shruti has south Indian accent, although she's daughter of Sarika. After Wanted and Rowdy Rathore, this movie was least expected from Prabhu Deva...not recommended.

Geetamma...

Her name is Geetamma
she is not a celebrity
she is not a doctor or a nurse
she is only a sahayika in our hospital
her job is to remain as a lady attendant
but I consider her more important
than everyone else in our Operation Theater
when I reach early in the morning
Geetamma is already in
and welcoming me with a smile
she is adept at all small requirements
of Operation Theater...
accompanying the female patients
looking after their personal needs
giving them moral support
just before their major surgery
she can talk most of the languages
with a cheerful smile
I really wonder
Have I ever seen her not being
cheery and chirpy...?
She knows how to take a blood pressure
and start an intravenous drip
She knows exactly when to give us
a hot cup of coffee or tea
and how to cheer us up
with her pleasant smile
today I asked her
what is the secret of her energy
and what does she take for her breakfast
and her reply was
a single cup of tea...!!
