Doctor's Day...

I am sure, you all must have read about the recent spate of attacks against doctors in India. There is a paradigm shift in the patients, their relatives and friends attitude towards doctors and the media has a skeptical attitude towards medical services. Hundreds of doctors in Maharashtra and other states were on strike recently. Doctors were seeking more security at their workplace due to an increase in violence against doctors recently in India. We must condemn such attacks on doctors and unabated violence against doctors. Patient dissatisfaction, agitated friends and relatives accompanying patients are the usual perpetrators of violence at the emergency, intensive care unit, and post-surgical wards. There is an urgent need to develop a meaningful doctor patient relationship and media should play a more responsible role to mitigate this problem. Public perceptions towards doctors must change and media should not show negative attitude towards doctors. Public must trust their doctors to deliver high quality care. If you don't trust your doctors and resort to frequent violence against doctors, I need not mention who would be the losers...let us trust each other and celebrate the Doctor's Day on 1 July...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Bhuj Earthquake...

I was the officer in charge of Operation theatre ex- 411 Field Ambulance established at Bhachau, 60 Kms from Bhuj. I was sent to the location after I reported to Military Hospital Bhuj which was badly destroyed in the earthquake...the 2001 Gujarat earthquake also known as the Bhuj earthquake which occurred on 26 January ( India's 52nd Republic Day ) at 08:46 AM IST and lasted for over 2 minutes, 7.9 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at Bhachau exactly at the place where we established our operation theatre under the guidance of Col Goswami Commanding Officer of 411 Field Ambulance. I was sent to the location immediately from Military Hospital, Dhrangadhra, Gujarat where I was posted at that time. I can never forget the night of 26/27 January 2001 at Bhachau Bhuj when we just finished fixing the tent of our operation theatre and retired to our bed at around 2 am when I heard a truck stopping next to our location. I was extremely tired after constant travelling in the day from Dhrangadhra to Bhuj and then from Bhuj to Bhachau and establishing the make shift operation theatre at Bhachau at night. I just wanted to sleep but I could see something burning next to our location near the truck. Initially, I thought, it could be wood-burning fireplace to combat the cold weather at that time...but I could sense something was drastically wrong. I went near the fireplace and was shocked to see countless dead children being offloaded from the truck and were being cremated en masse. I didn't know how I returned to my tent and how I slept like log that night. When I got up next morning I saw an NGO team had established a tent next to our location and were distributing food free of cost. I was amazed to look at the people having breakfast next to the same location where children were cremated the previous night. I worked at the same location for nearly three months till last injured person was treated. The mass casualty were mostly given Injection Ketamine during surgery and few were operated under spinal anaesthesia and General Anaesthesia. Three surgical teams including teams from Air Force, Army and Navy worked under me and left but I continued for the longest period at the same place. I must have given anaesthesia to thousands of patients, interestingly, with no deaths. I named a twins born after my anaesthesia as Bhu Devi and Sree Devi ...which was shown in the centre page of India Today. Times of India scribe was constantly in touch with me. I was the one who briefed then defence minister George Fernandes when he visited our location. I treated successfully a couple who were brought out of the debris of a building after being extracted after four days...they survived since they were constantly talking to each other under the debris. I saw a Telugu movie during my college days... Nalugu Stambalata ...the Hero was my favourite...Naresh...but at our location I was the hero...he requested for a picture along with me at the location...when he visited our location along with a team of NGO....Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

The interview

After joining MD Microbiology at Andhra Medical College in 1981 I was on the lookout for some excitement and adventure in my life being young and positive about life. My elder sister Dr Kamala Reddy was working at Primary Health Centre, Kanithi, a small village 11 kms from Visakhapatnam after passing MBBS from Andhra Medical College and her husband Dr G Gurumurthy Reddy was working at Gajuwaka, Vizag as a medical practitioner. I used to help them in their work occasionally after passing MBBS. My sister Vijaya advised me to join army as a medical officer to experience something better. She told me if I remain in Andhra, I would become either a medical practitioner and get confined to the four walls of my clinic all through my life or else, I may be selected in the state service commission and would be posted to small unknown places of the state where I would be working with minimal infra structure all through my life. I made up my mind to join army medical corps after quitting my Post Graduation in MD Microbiology midway for a better life of adventure and more satisfaction. As luck would have it, I was selected in the written test after I scored well in MCQ...but real hurdle was the main interview after clearing the clinics at Army hospital, Delhi. I was asked what was my first choice ...army, navy or air force. Having lived in Visakhapatnam and having seen a bit of Eastern Naval Command, I replied...Navy. My next question was...name the ranks of the Commissioned Officers in Indian Navy in descending/ascending order...I could not reply...I could have attempted had it been army ranks. My next question was ... explain Falkland War and whether I heard anything about exocet missiles...my reply was unsatisfactory. I felt, I was not going to be selected despite my good performance in clinic and written test and also being fit medically. My last question was...what would I do if I get immense wealth ( needless to say, the Psychologist in the interviewing panel posed this question to me )....my reply was... I would visit all the countries of this world....they asked ....which country would be my first choice..my reply was US...immediate next question was...which place in US...my reply was Walt Disney World...well, my final question was...would you like to visit Pakistan...my prompt reply was...Certainly Not...I was selected...!!

Chatur...??

Let me share with you some of secrets to become Chatur....No, I am not saying anything about Chatur Bania...just few words to become smart .. Chatur .... Able, tactful, adroit, deft, astute, judicious and crafty...in shortest period. Please don't reveal too much of your personal information to people you don't know much ... ( exactly what i am doing right now )...Choose your words and timing carefully. ...Right time, right place, right people equals success...but interestingly, there is no wrong time to do the right thing. Always start with a positive comment before giving a negative comment although we know, negative feedback isn't always bad and positive feedback isn't always good. And yes, think before you speak or you write anything.Skill comes from being able to sense accurately what another person is feeling at that moment and yes, reading between the lines makes your job much easier ...before you enact diplomacy and tact there's no harm to guess what level of tact and diplomacy other person has....If you can sense correctly what is really going on in the minds of others...You have become a Chatur...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Who was the Best PM

Who was the best Prime Minister of India till date...?? Nehru made too many mistakes, but also set the course for India to become a stable, multi-ethnic democracy. Indira Gandhi possessed the steeliest characteristics of any Indian prime minister although a bit manipulative individual who was responsible for suspension of democracy by imposition of Emergency between 1975-77. India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 is considered one of its finest moments in the history of India. Vajpayee's rule was excellent since he began the process that changed the assumptions of many of India’s foreign policy and domestic goals between 1998-2004. Atal Bihari Vajpayee pursued Indian foreign and defense policy robustly. Although many call him anti-Muslim but Narendra Modi is the best Prime Minister India ever had. Even critics cannot deny his intentions for India's development, and he has proved his mettle repeatedly and proved all his critics wrong. He is the champion of development and modern India. There hasn't been any Prime Minister in the history of India who has worked so hard and so sincerely as Modi...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Bollywood music Old Vs New

Many people argue that the old songs of Bollywood were much better than the present songs of Bollywood. I have sung 900 songs on YouTube ranging from 1945 to 2017 hit songs...frankly, I feel that the present songs are much better than the old songs and much more difficult and challenging to sing compared to the old numbers....please don't include Honey Singh type of songs when I say modern and contemporary songs. The present songs of Bollywood definitely don't have the powerful lyrics and composition of the past but they have much better tunes and melody. Present songs don't exclusively cater to Hindi classical music ....old songs were inspired by Indian ragas whereas the present Bollywood songs are mostly inspired by the western songs. Let us not forget that there was not much of competition earlier...either it was a Mukesh or a Rafi or a Kishore, of course, we had Talat and Manna dey and Hemant Kumar. I may not agree if you say that romantic and good songs are no more made in Bollywood now...some of the present songs are much more romantic than the yesteryear although it may not have that evergreen element. Yes, the lyrics and composition may not be as good but the melody and digital sound is much more enjoyable and soothing ... present songs have fantastic tunes and amazing sound effects which was lacking in the old songs. Earlier, Lata -Asha sisters dominated the film industry for decades...now we have hundreds of female singers and dime a dozen male singers...the competition is unimaginable now which we never saw or heard in the olden ( golden ?? ) era...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Bengali Culture...

Although I am an Andhraite, I consider myself half Bengali ( please don't confuse it with half Girlfriend and half Boyfriend ). Being in Army for 33 long years I lived in almost every corner of India and my childhood was spent in Bihar, Bengal and Orissa since my father was working for FCI with a transferable job. As a child, I studied at Calcutta and Durgapur. Frankly, I consider, culture of West Bengal to be one of the richest cultures in India. Well, let me explain, the culture of West Bengal is an Indian Culture which has its roots in the Bengali literature, music, fine arts, drama and cinema. I strongly believe in the famous saying What Bengal thinks today, Rest of the India will think tomorrow. Bengalis have deep affinity towards art, craft and music and they mainly believe in socialism. Needless to say, great social reformers like Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Vidyasagar and great saint Ram Krishna Param Hans and Nobel Laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore had their roots in Bengal. Bengali literature is considered as one of the richest in the world. Michael Madhusudan Dutt, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Dinabandhu Mitra, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Rabindra Nath Tagore, Sharat Chandra and Ishwar Chandra Bandyopadhyaya are some of the names I can recall in Bengali literature. Being a music lover, I must say, the music of West Bengal compliments and adorns its culture. There is a lot of variety within Bengali music, from Bangla classic to Banga folk and even rock. Bengali people are considered to be great foodies ... Hilsa, Bhekti, Magur, Rui and Prawns ( Chingri maach ) are some common verieties of fish cooked on a regular basis. They love to have machcher jhol on a daily basis and of course, Mishti Dohee. Needless to say, Bengali sweets are very famous which I need not mention. Bengalis love reading books and various newspapers... Statesman, Anandabazar Patrika, Aajkaal, Bartaman are very popular in the state. Cricket is played in every gali ( street ) and para ( locality) without break...their love for Football and cricket is just amazing...and they love travelling a lot....next time, you meet a stranger in your town...it could be a Bengali...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Black Rock Expedition

In 1984, I was working as Regimental Medical Officer of 2/3 Gorkha Rifles at North Sikkim. I was hand picked for an extremely difficult expedition called Black Rock expedition and I was the only medical officer besides six Sherpa ( from Nepal and Tibet, renowned for their skill in mountaineering ) and one Major ( Major RK Sharma ) as the team leader. The Sherpa selected were well known mountaineers and had already scaled Kangchenjunga, and the team leader was from Himachal Pradesh well known for its trekking, climbing and skiing but I was from Andhra Pradesh with zero experience in mountaineering who saw mountains for the first time after joining army in 1982. I was chosen for this adventurous expedition after my participation in a Gurkha khud race...hill racing ( Cross country race in hills). I was asked to choose my own medical assistant but the two nursing assistants sent to me were not found fit for this dangerous expedition because one of them was overweight and the other was an alcoholic. I selected one of the Sherpa and trained him to give injections, do wound dressings and give essential life saving drugs after my intensive training. We carried adequate shakkarpara ( fried flour cookies coated with crystallized sugar) and canned minced meat for our journey and of course, extreme cold weather boots, jackets and sleeping bag besides our balaclava, snowboard goggles and route maps and compass to know our direction. It was seven days of non stop expedition with brief halts for taking rest. We scaled highest snow clad mountains and cliffs of North Sikkim in this period. We were given the task to find whether one particular route could be taken by our enemy to reach North Sikkim... and we reported yes, they can... at the cost of sustaining heavy casualty due to it being most dangerous terrain...it was a virgin land and a virgin route...I was awarded army commander's commendation card for this most dangerous expedition called Black Rock Expedition...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

May the best Man/ Woman Win...!!

Following Mukesh Ambani's Jio , all data service providers have started giving free voice calls and data at much reduced rates...airtel, vodafone, Bsnl and Idea had an Idea which they never had earlier. Adopting the same strategy, united opposition desperately announced former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar as their presidential candidate to counter BJP’s presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind and turned the presidential election into Dalit Vs Dalit contest. Meira Kumar is a good candidate, but they chose her not for her qualifications and qualities, but for her caste. Present India is looking much beyond caste. Had the Opposition thought of going beyond this Dalit factor, it might have been better. The BJP’s choice of Kovind comes at a time when Dalit groups have protested in Uttar Pradesh against the Yogi Adityanath government and raised their voice about the increasing atrocities against Dalits by upper castes and cow vigilantes. Selecting Kovind should help the BJP’s efforts at consolidating its Dalit support base in the run up to the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. The choice of Kalam as candidate for President by the ruling NDA in 2002 was a real masterstroke. It had fragmented opposition unity. But Kovind is not Kalaam. Though the NDA candidate has an edge in the presidential election, the main opposition party along with the Left Front and TMC is definitely going to give a tough fight in this presidential election...may the best man ( woman ) win...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Intelligence and happiness...

Strange but true...intelligent people are rarely very happy people...Intelligent people tend to over analyze everything around them which makes them unhappy. Intelligent people have a better understanding of everything and when that optimum standard is not achieved by the average intelligent people around them, it leaves them disappointed and frustrated. They actually feel everything around them as under worked and nothing meets their high standards. Ernest Hemingway rightly said once that happiness in intelligent person is the rarest thing he knew. An intelligent person is likely to have low self esteem of himself and a little pride because they judge themselves too hard. They love to question everything, if you analyse their minds, you will only find huge question marks in their brains and there will be no place to breathe and relax. Gossips, Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram are rarely their things, Meaningful conversations with the right person would probably make them happy, but finding such a person is not an easy job. I don't mean to say that every intelligent person has a psychological problem but yes, they are likely to develop one. Their analysis of everything can lead them to analyze life and death too harshly and consequently make them depressed people. Depression and anxiety are the two most common problems with such intelligent people with high IQs. So dear friends, be happy and stop complaining that you are not too smart and too intelligent...

Reading between the lines...

Reading between the lines always fascinated me. Which means to find meanings that are intended but that are not directly expressed in something said or written. People say that Facebook is full of fake people and it's sometimes impossible to know who is fake and who's real...but I always felt, it's very easy to detect a fake on Facebook. Moreover, the social network has been heavily criticized for its role in the spread of fake news especially on Facebook and Whatsapp. I always tell people to read between the lines and read carefully what is actually written and what has not been written but was expressed indirectly. Some people try to dupe Facebook users for reasons of their own or for a bit of fun or for some ulterior motive.
Trust me, reading between the lines is an art...it has to be developed over the years. If you want to know a bit more about reading between the lines, try paying attention to simple comments on Facebook or Whatsapp...and try to understand the implicit meaning besides the obvious one. Always try to look for a meaning that is implied rather than explicitly stated...you'll know more about your friends and foes...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Look no further...

Students often ask me the best career option.Choosing a right career option is the most vital decision in everyone's life. Students often go through a dilemma of choosing a career. Apart from the top paying and common career options such as Medical, Engineering, Management, Chartered Accountancy, numerous other options are available in our country in the field of Health Care, Travel and Tourism, Media and so on. My students often want jobs which offer good salary, reputation in the society and job security. According to my opinion, Indian army is the best option which offer good salary, reputation in the society and job security. Army provides many opportunity to develop your hobby and interests besides make you a thorough professional and a thorough gentleman. It provides excellent pay package, perks and privileges ...which no other service in India provides. If you can join army as an officer, you'll automatically develop leadership skills and would know how to work in different situation at any time. Army lifestyle is nothing but non stop adventures, they live their life with respect, they serve their nation with discipline and excellent time management. The toughness which the army guys have, the discipline which they follow, the sense of responsibility in their minds is just unimaginable. If you have good health and if you want to do something for your country...Just join army...If you're looking for the best career, look no further than Indian Army...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Give me some sunshine sung by Pradeep Pendyala

My life as an Anaesthesiologist

I've been working in the department of Anesthesiology for last 28 years now, mostly in the army and for last two years in the civil. I am sure, my friends, who are non medicals would love to know what would be a typical day in my life as an anesthesiologist. When I first started working in Anaesthesiology department in 1989 at Command Hospital ( Air Force ) Bangalore, we worked mostly in the Operation Theatre. Today's anaesthesiology's focus especially in the intensive care unit has made our subject much more interesting. Initially, I joined MD ( Microbiology ) for one year after MBBS at Andhra Medical College, but the nature of my work in the department Viz. taking classes for MBBS students, telling them about Microscope and various nosocomial infections and other non clinical work didn't suit my personality. Always I liked the idea of seeing patients on an acute basis for a short period and any type of clinical work and directly interacting with the patients rather than seeing their blood/sputum for staining and identifying under the Microscope. I left my post graduation of Microbiology and joined army so that I can select some clinical subject for post graduation. As an anesthesiologist, my work typically goes smoothly, although I face huge variety of adverse events which I manage confidently. An anesthesiologist in the operation theatre is similar to being an airplane pilot in his cockpit...A cockpit is the area, usually near the front of an aircraft from which a pilot controls the aircraft...Once the patient is unconscious after induction with anaesthetic agents given intravenously and by inhaling volatile agents, the anesthesiologist's primary job is to manage and monitor the blood pressure, heart rate and many other parameters and of course, the response to surgery and pain. There's never a dull moment in my day as an Anaesthesiologist... it's fast-paced and intellectually demanding, with intense high-pressure workdays counterbalanced by ample personal life and family life. Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Self improvement...

I must confess that self improvement books always fascinated me...I must have read many such books...viz. How to win friends and influence people ( incidentally, presented to me by my dear classmate when I was studying MBBS ), How to stop worrying and start living both by Dale Carnegie, The Power of Positive Thinking by Dr Norman Vincent Peale ...and many such books. But the real improvement never lasted for long after reading those books. I have read few books on Public speaking...but again, these books never improved me much despite my sincerely following each step mentioned in those books. Some self improvement books focused mostly on productivity, motivation and confidence. Some of those books assured me of learning smart with science-backed strategies for improving health, productivity, focus, decision making and many other aspects of life. I never missed buying such books during my journey by train especially from A. H. Wheeler bookstores on Indian Railway stations. I don't read them now after I almost stopped traveling by train. These days, I always fly and definitely miss my train journey and of course, A. H. Wheeler bookstores.
If you ask me, my experience with such books, they don't really help much. The will to change must come from within . Nothing else can change you for better. Unless, you make your own strategies to win friends or influence people, unless you have your own formula to be effective public speaker, you don't get started, you can't go anywhere. Short attention span...??

There’s so much going on Facebook and Whatsapp that possibly 90 percent of you may not read my present post. According to scientists, the age of smartphones has left humans with a very short attention span.Your attention span is now so short that you won’t finish this post. It is easy to see why some people think that smartphones are turning us into zombies when we see people walking around aimlessly, eyes glued to their mobile phones. Recent Microsoft study revealed that we now have an attention span of just eight seconds....amazing...!! And yes, right now, there are more mobile internet users than desktop/laptop users. There’s just so much overload of information and so little time. Research released earlier this year showed that smartphones were making us less able to think independently as we rely on looking up for information that we don't know from Google and other similar search engines, rather than thinking for ourselves. Previous research had shown that people who spend excessive amounts of time online were less able to focus on specific tasks. However, it is not clear whether internet and phone usage is the actual cause of our poor focus and attention. This topic needs further research and further validation...keep reading my posts dear friends...I will update you soon on this interesting topic...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Main shaayar badnaam sung by Pradeep Pendyala

Rab ne bana dee jodhi

Whatever you may argue, I still believe that marriages are made in heaven...I may sound a bit old fashioned...but I must tell the truth. You cannot predict or foretell whom you would marry. I know hundreds who loved each other very much for many years but never got married to each other and I know too many couples who never met each other until few days before their marriage, mind you, I'm not talking about arranged marriages. Most of the marriages are guided by God himself. I think, there is something beyond our understanding which control our actions. And yes, marriages are decided in heaven perhaps even before the couple meet. And marriages are not just down to luck or human action. The coming together of two individuals in a loving relationship is guided by heavenly forces. The argument that marriages are made in the heart and mind are altogether different issue. Neither, I am saying about incompatibility issues nor about life’s ups and downs...Col Pendyala pradeep,  Anaesthesiologist

Dil Ke Jharoke Mein Tujhko sung by Pradeep Pendyala

Being secular...

I (we) celebrate Christmas more than any christian after my son was born on 25 Dec 1988. Frankly, I started going to midnight masses of 24 December after my sister Vijaya was blessed with twin sons on 24 Dec 1982. I have been closely associated with hundreds of Christians and yes, my musical instruments teacher were always a Christian. Interestingly, my best friends of Vizag, where I have done my schooling and MBBS were Muslims. The famous orchestra of Vizag ...Shruti was conceptualized and started by me and my very close friend a well known guitarist and a drummer Mr Yusuf Khan of Visakhapatnam in 1980. Yusuf Khan was very close to me and I used to be the first recipient of Seviyan of Eid from dear Yusuf every year as long as I lived in Vizag ( Visakhapatnam ).
My best friend during my intermediate days at Mrs. AVN College of Visakhapatnam was Gurmeet Singh. He was my best friend and also a teacher of Physics although he was my classmate. His father was a priest of Gurudwara, a granthi and also a caretaker of the Gurudwara which was located next to police barracks Visakhapatnam those days. I used to sleep in the same Gurudwara very often and I was almost a part of their family. That's the place, I learnt Japji Saheb ...even now, I can recite Japji Saheb without any reference...you can watch me reciting the same on my YouTube...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Purani Jeans...

I must admit that I love wearing jeans. I have three wardrobes of jeans although I know that you need only three pairs of jeans in your closet. Despite having so many jeans, like most people, I do tend to wear the same pairs over and over. I always advise my friends to have at least a few pairs of denim jeans in their wardrobe. Jeans have widely conquered the hearts and closets of people all over the world. People of all ages irrespective of any gender love to wear this piece of clothing. Jeans have become one of the most worn pieces of clothing in the world. Cowboys wear them so do supermodels, farmers and presidents. They are affordable and hard-wearing and they look good on anybody and everybody. Jeans were initially popular because of their durability and cheapness but once movie stars started wearing them, they became extremely popular. I strongly believe, most men look better in jeans and look more authoritative and smart than those who are overdressed in formal dress. Jeans are most democratic, because they are accessible to anyone, regardless of their social status and economic class. Jeans have become now symbols for cowboys, women, youth and economic status. It is most appealing to all kinds of people regardless of social or economic status, from teenagers to elders. And lastly, women do prefer seeing men in jeans ...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Choose happiness...!!

People often ask me how do I look so happy always. No matter what, I always stay positive. Frankly, I have minimized my desires...that's the reason, I have more inner peace, always happier and always enjoy more than others having the same goodies of life. I never take a loan nor advice anyone to take a loan despite benefits shown taking a personal loan or loan for a home. I strongly believe in living within my means. I also believe that our happiness is very much in our hands. I know too very well that life can change in an instant hence I enjoy every moment and make the most of every moment. I give compliments to myself even on my small achievements and I try sincerely to spread happiness... I never fail to greet people on their birthdays and anniversaries and send congratulation messages on their success. I always greet them by name, let them know that I know who they are and what their dreams are. I am always satisfied with what I have and try to find happiness from within. I always choose happiness and make the most of my life...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Sure success mantra...!!

Loneliness is a negative state of mind whereas being alone is a positive state of mind where you are always and constantly delighted with yourself.
People are always worried by the fact how others would view them and they are worried about a stigma that is always attached to doing things alone in public. But trust me, seeking solitude can actually be quite healthy. In fact, there are many physical and psychological benefits to spending time alone. Please assure yourself that It is okay to be alone sometimes. The next time you have few hours or a day or even a weekend to yourself, try to be alone, try to be a bit imaginative, a bit creative in that time so that you can do something which you always wanted to do. Your soul would thank you for that. Trust me, the clarity you receive from being alone is unmatched. It is just you, your surroundings, and your thoughts that's all. You would actually enjoy and appreciate the beauty of those things in your life by being alone. The ability to be alone tunes you to your inner self. The only way to properly know yourself, your inner self, is to free yourself of outside influences and people around you. If you are constantly being surrounded by people, you can never achieve what you always wanted to achieve....enjoy your solitude...enjoy your new freedom and your new sure success mantra....Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist

Joie de vivre...!!

It cannot be bought
nor can it be sourced
It's about unburdening ourselves from want
It's about rediscovering the simple joys of life
It's about noticing that small things that matter

It's the quality that came effortlessly to us as children
It's the feeling of happiness and enjoyment of life
It's the joy of conversation, joy of eating, joy of anything
It radiates a vitalizing energy, the zest and gaiety
It is a philosophy of life...
Joie de vivre...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Just do it..!!

It is never too late to learn something new
It is never too late to do something new
It is never too late to start over
If you are not happy with today
Start something different tomorrow
Don't stay stuck ...move on
There's nothing as painful as being stuck at a place
Moving on is not about how much you’ve forgotten
but rather how much you’ve actually grown
If you live in hope, you will never die in despair and inadequacy
Tough times happen to all of us no matter how strong we are
The hardest part of tough times is not to lose hope
Don’t wait until you are ready to finally walk away
because you will never be ready ever
Just do it....Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist

Happy Life...!!

You meet many people every month. Throughout your life you'll meet hundreds if not thousands of people, some significant and some not, but all of them play a part in your life. What is the first thing you notice about someone when you meet ? Everyday you have to deal with people and interact with people directly or indirectly. Let's know more about them to understand them better.
I am basically a performer and I strive hard to grab attention of others and love being the centre of attention. I am fun loving and I enjoy fun and excitement in life.
If you love taking charge and are a good decision maker, you are basically meant to be a leader. If you find happiness in helping others and consider yourself lucky if you get an opportunity to help others, you are an idealist. Frankly, I love talented people who often act as a role model for others. If you are a good observer, who believe in constantly gathering information and upgrading your knowledge, you are cut out to be a scientist. If you are not worrying about your future and believe in living for the moment and do not blindly copy others and aspire to create a style of your own, you must be an artist. If you value knowledge, competence and logic and prefer to be quiet and reserved person, you are basically a thinker. And if you are warm-hearted, popular, and conscientious and tend to put the needs of others over your own needs, you should become a doctor.
Thinking types go with the logic, while feeling types follow their hearts. Extroverts are action-oriented, while introverts are thought-oriented. Discover yourself and discover others...Happy Life...Col Pendyala Pradeep.
