Sab kuchch chalta hai....

I

India is definitely progressing, it is much better than what it was earlier. India can easily become the most developed country in the world provided we get rid of our "Chalta Hai Attitude"...which means which hasn't been done properly. I will give you few examples, violation of traffic rules, speaking Hindi or English with lots of mistakes and writing it with grammatical mistakes, casually throwing waste around, corruption and bribing at most of the places are rampant, punctuality is rarely followed, most of the hoardings would have spelling mistakes, fire safety precautions are rarely taken...list is endless. Rarely people strive for excellence...average and mediocrity is accepted. Despite all this India is progressing much better than all other countries because we have now leaders who have the vision and determination to make India progress. It has no Brexit like issues which had almost brought UK to a standstill for the last three years, it has no controversial President who does everything which creates a new controversy. Let us get rid of our Chalta Hai attitude and make our India a global Super Power. Col Pradeep Pendyala, Anaesthesiologist.

We are Doctors...

I have hung up my uniform after serving Indian Army Medical Corps for 33 years on 31 July 2015. But I kept my uniform and my boots very carefully so that I can report for duty if there's an emergency. During 1992-95, I had served at Poonch sector of Jammu & Kashmir as Anaesthesiologist. I can never forget, on many occasions, I had to give anaesthesia to an unknown person injured at the border, brought to me for treatment. Many a times, we were pleasantly surprised to know during interrogations that the injured person on whom we operated all through the night to save his life was actually a Pakistani. Well, we never felt guilty that we saved a Pakistani who was found injured at the LOC, we are trained to save lives...that's all. Frankly, all doctors, whether they are from Army or from civil, they are trained to save lives...no doctor would ever harm you knowingly...trust me. It pains me a lot when I see doctors are being harmed and being hit by a patient or a patient's relatives for none of their faults. Please don't do such things, Doctor would definitely forgive you, but God may not...trust me. Col Pradeep Pendyala, Anaesthesiologist.
