Small things in life can be often so much bigger than the great things in life. Other day, a close friend Prakash reminded me of an old Telugu song...Thotalo na raju from ek veera famous Telugu movie of yore, ntr and jamuna were the cast. The song had great significance in the life of my sister Dr kamala. This was the song which united her with her husband Dr Gururthy Reddy. This was the song she always hummed especially after it's live performance by Bhanumathy, a well known singer and actress. Bhanumathy had visited Andhra Medcl Collge in 60s and sang the same song. This song was favourite song of my sister and Dr Gurumurthy Reddy whom she met for the first time at college day celebration and this was the song which united them. Dr kamala my sister was also a classmate of Dr Ramani whose sister Dr T Padmavathi became my classmate during my MBBS days. Dr Gurumurthy was weak in studies but excellent in sports. He was captain of Andhra university football, cricket and hockey teams, which probably nobody could emulate till date. And I must confess the same song is my favorite song too dear friends. Wish you all a Happy Valentine's week...!! Yes, I forgot to mention friends, my sister was later married to Dr Gururthy Reddy and the same song was instrumental in bringing them together.
