Stress...stress...stresssss...

Being a doctor, I know too very well that you should restrict intake of salt, sugar, oil and cholesterol in your diet after certain age for good health...but, more than anything else, you should avoid stress in your life. The easiest way to reduce stress is to exercise or play a game regularly for at least thirty minutes. Being stressed, you may fall sick more often and believe me you grow older much faster. When you feel stressed, listen to some music, watch a movie, have an ice cream or a chocolate and take a nap or breathe deeply....your stress would disappear within minutes. When you feel stressed, make a phone call to a friend and chat for ten to fifteen minutes, join a Whatsapp group and share your views or make friends on Facebook. Give yourself a break too often each day and do exactly what you love the most. Trust me you can easily stop getting older by avoiding stress. Who says, as the years advance, time flies faster...when you reduce your stress, you can actually have forty eight hours in each day as you grow older.... Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Hunger...

Celebrity kids rarely become celebs themselves...similarly, very few officers' children become successful officers...on the contrary, many JCOs/OR children become successful officers and also qualify for All India Institute of Medical Sciences and top IITs of India. Reason is simple, they have a desire to be successful and have a hunger to achieve outrageous results...they know their purpose, they have more focus and they want to prove themselves. That hunger would determine the winners in the long run. Celebrity children already have everything, they are born with a silver spoon...they are always in spotlight. Changing your life and achieving your goals is not a matter of ability, it’s a matter of your motivation...your hunger for success...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Battle of Longewala...

In the annals of Military History, Battle of Longewala would go down as one of the unique events, where the most significant part in totally thwarting designs of the enemy, was played by Air Power. The battle is a glorious chapter in the history of the Indian Air Force (IAF), where a small number of pilots and their Hunter aircraft not only blunted but also decimated a determined Pakistani Armour Thrust across the Thar Desert. One can be justifiably proud of the fact that IAF demonstrated, as to how effective use of Air Power could decisively change the course of the land war. That Longewala is a precursor to the Gulf War, is clear to any student of military history. The Longewala battle from the 1971 War with Pakistan is an iconic victory in recent Indian Military History. What should have been a thumping victory for a Pakistani armoured offensive in the Rajasthan sector was turned into a complete rout. All this by a force of no more than a company of Indian troops on the ground, four Hunter aircraft from the Indian Air Force and two light aircraft flown by Army AOP Pilots...The plausibility of an entire Pakistani tank regiment crossing the line of control and driving into Indian territory was not one that military strategists had been willing to entertain in their war games scenario. On the contrary, India’s brass hats had laboured over an extensive counter-offensive plan, according to which they were going to cross the line of control and go all the way up to Rahimyar Khan in Pakistan. That the opposite happened is well documented. That India snatched victory from the jaws of defeat is a story oft told. The badges of honour were distributed soon enough: the army picked up a Maha Vir Chakra and six Vir Chakras; the Indian Air Force, which targeted Pakistani tanks with deadly precision, earned its medals too, picking up an AVSM and 10 Vir Chakras.
Brigadier Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri, died yesterday on 17 Nov 2018 morning in a private hospital in Mohali. Chandpuri was the recipient of country’s second highest gallantry award, Mahavir Chakra (MVC) for defending the Longewala sector from Pakistani mechanised infantry. Chandpuri’s 120 men faced 2000 Pak soldiers and one armoured regiment courageously and halted the Pakistani infiltration in the Indian border post of Longewala.
You can see me in the attached picture with Group Captain DK Dass ( Flt Lt DK Dass...during battle of Longewala ) who inspired the role of Jacky shroff in the movie Border...
And the picture of Battle of Longewala Hero Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri who inspired Sunny Deol's role in 'Border' who passed away at 78...yesterday ( 17 Nov 2018 )... RIP dear sir...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Good mood...all the time...??

People always ask me how do I manage to be in good mood all the time. It is believed that the chemical responsible for you to feel happy is Dopamine...I think, I secrete a lot of dopamine all the time...BTW, whenever I am down... I go to watch a movie... listen to my favorite music on YouTube and go for a game of tennis. On almost everyday, I decide that I will have a great day ...after waking up, each day I know that I would have an amazing day, no matter what. I make sure, I supercharge my day...with my non stop reading, learning something new, very often googling to clear my doubts, and yes, record a new song on a daily basis. Evenings are reserved for tennis... I love to win and compete with the best, and I hate to lose a single game. I do have many issues with my health but I always count my blessings. Dear friends, exercise releases dopamine and serotonin, which are the hormones that make you happy...make sure, you exercise a lot each day. Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Keep him alive...

It is important to keep the child in you alive...be foolish and harmless eccentric occasionally and silly and spontaneous occasionally. Laugh a lot like children do all the time.Take time out for yourself and pamper yourself. Don't worry about others opinion. Don't let that child in you die prematurely. As we grow up, we tend to become serious ...everyone is born creative, try to be creative all the time. Have you ever wondered why children look so happy all the time...because, they do whatever makes them happy. Keep a hobby alive and be creative just for the joy of it. The day you kill your inner child in you...is the day, you would kill your happiness forever. Don't forget, you are never too old to be a child again...happy children's day...Col Pradeep Pendyala, Anaesthesiologist.

Most attractive man in the world...??

Trust me, you can easily become the most attractive man in the world. No, I am not saying to look good, groom yourself. ...wear a smile on your face...increase your knowledge...be yourself, don't imitate others. ...etcetera ...etcetera. You don't have to be a very good looking...you needn't be very rich ...and you don't require to be vivacious, wacky and side splitting all the time. You need not have tremendous sense of humor to become most attractive man. You just need to make your lady feel pretty and enchanting. She should become hysterically funny in your company...and yes, make her feel loved all the time. Show interest in what she does...take note of little things...put her first always...provide emotional security...and yes, make her laugh, laugh and laugh...that's all. Have you ever thought, whether material possessions result in true happiness
or not. To some extent, material things are essential for basic happy survival in our modern life but it should not be extravagant. Money, wealth, jewelry, and housing are a part of basic necessity for our daily living. Money definitely gives us comfort, convenience and well-being...money may or may not bring happiness in life, but the lack of money will certainly bring unhappiness and misery. Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.

Money...Money...Money....

Who doesn't want wealth and money. On Dhanteras, Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, is worshiped in the evening. Money definitely means more confidence. More money means more power. Some people definitely feel like failures when there is lack of money. Usually, as the income grows, the sense of achievement also grows. Money plays a big role in our lives… many things need money…bills payment, our desires and a better life style. Money changes our personality. If we are truly kind, we may remain kind even after money. But money often brings confidence, because we don't have to please many people once we have enough money. Interestingly, by being more confident, we can make more money, and yes, money begets money... Happy Dhanteras, Happy Deepawali...Col Pradeep Pendyala anaesthesiologist
