There are many housewives whom I know who spend most of their time
watching television, shopping, gossiping and spending lots of time on phone and
Facebook. They only order servants to cook and clean and they are also
least interested in teaching their children.
Children need their mothers very much during their formative years, I would strongly advice even professional ladies like doctors and engineers to spend time as a full time housewife during the formative years of their children. But once the children grow up I think it is better for the lady to pursue her career. It would be loss to the Government if Doctors and engineers chose to be permanent homemakers over their career. But yes, striking a balance between a career and being a housewife simultaneously is more challenging and exciting than being only a housewife or only a career woman.
