Virtuous Cycle

Twelve years ago, when I joined Facebook, my wife didn't approve of it ... My own son didn't like it. I was about to retire from my army life and I was not sure what I would be doing after my retirement. But after joining Facebook, I met people like Ampat Koshy  sir and Archna Pant ma'am who were exemplary in their English and Hindi respectively. Meeting them online was the turning point in my life. I developed a passion for English as well as for Hindi. I started reading serious literature which I had never done earlier. My English and Hindi considerably improved. And a virtuous cycle began in my life. There were chain of events in my life which I never dreamt of earlier... One desirable event leads to another... And that's what is a virtuous circle๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐ŸผCol Pradeep Pendyala, Professor of Anaesthesiology, ASRAM Medical College, Eluru, India

Saviours

 Always standing behind you

Always watching over you

Always feeling your pulse, hear you breathe and watch your heartbeats

Though, the devils want to take you

When I'm there with you

Devils dare not venture

I'll take your hand

I'll make you walk again

I'll make you smile again

We'll climb every mountain

We'll swim every ocean

When I'm there as your shadow

When I'm there as your saviour

Always as an Anesthesiologist...Col Pradeep Pendyala๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Chutzpah

Let me talk about Chutzpah ( pronounced as hutspuh...c is silent ๐Ÿ™‚). Synonyms are nerve, gall and audacity.  You need nerve. You need self-confidence. You need boldness. You need audacity. You need all these things to be happy and also successful. And that's what is Chutzpah... all about๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐ŸผCol Pradeep Pendyala

Hey you

 Hey you !

Are you Anaesthetist ?

No ma'am ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

What are you ?

I'm an Anaesthesiologist๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

What's the difference ๐Ÿ˜‡

An anaesthetist is a nurse anaesthetist,

A registered nurse trained to safely administer anesthesia.

An Anaesthesiologist is a licensed medical doctor who specialises in administering Anesthetics before, during and after medical procedures.

He's a complete Doctor ๐Ÿฅ

He knows a lot about specialties as paediatrics, obstetrics, cardiac or critical care ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ’‰

Anaesthesiologists work in operating rooms, providing pain relief during surgeries.

They also work in intensive care units and in labor and delivery units  as well as providing care for patients suffering from chronic pain. Anaesthesiologists collaborate with other doctors and surgeons to coordinate treatment and care for patients. They must be familiar with all types of surgeries, Emergency cases and organ transplants. Anaesthesiologists work long hours, often without breaks.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Covid

COVID has come as a Tsunami in everyone's life...There won't be a single person who's not affected by it in this planet ... Many lost their dear and near ones and many lost their livelihood. In my case, I was devastated in altogether different ways... my regular tennis ๐ŸŽพ stopped for good... my regular visits to our college library stopped and my favourite restaurant, Mama's kitchen next to my residence was closed forcing me to start a Zomato. Our classes became online and regular interactions with my friends and relatives has come to a naught. My shuttling between Eluru and Secunderabad has decreased considerably. I lost few of my dear classmates and relatives which made me very very sad. Vaccination after vaccination but no guarantee against it... Like someone said, we lost a doctor recently, he was fully vaccinated, had he have not taken the vaccination, it could have been worse ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Mrs AVN College

I studied intermediate between 1972-74 at Mrs AVN College, Visakhapatnam when Sri.Divakarla Rama Murthy Garu was our Principal. He used to be very fond of me because I won many prizes in Hindi intercollegiate debate competitions for our college. It's one of the oldest colleges in Andhra Pradesh, it has a rich history....

Sir C.V. Raman studied in this college...

Great laureates were produced by this respected college.

Some of the distinguished alumni are...

Alluri Seetharama Raju - a great freedom fighter. Incidentally, I'm presently working at Alluri Sitarama Raju institute of medical sciences at Eluru as professor of Anaesthesiology.

Waheeda Rehman - a famous Bollywood film star also studied from Mrs AVN College. Standing strong for the past more than 160 years and still counting, AVN College, in Visakhapatnam, is one of the oldest colleges in the whole of Andhra Pradesh. My grandfather used to say that we are related to Mrs AVN Row. In his will dated 8th may, 1892, Sri AVN Row garu donated 11 acres of his land with a palatial building, a lakh of rupees and a building grant of Rs. 15,000/-, hence the name, ‘Mrs. AVN College’, after his wife๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Avid readers

During my student days, I never missed buying peanuts while traveling in a train. Train journey becomes very pleasant if we sit next to a window and eat peanuts while reading a magazine. Peanuts are the cheapest available nuts at the same time it's full of calories and a great source of proteins. I never missed reading the paper used as envelope for those peanuts. I always found very useful information while reading those bits of paper used for its packaging. Similarly, I find reading the information shared on social media viz Facebook and Whatsapp very informative and very interesting but occasionally the information shared is false and fake. Nevertheless, I find these titbits of information very interactive and informative. But yes, we must be wary of misleading news. Frankly, Facebook and whatsapp have made reading a pleasure and great source of fun. People who used to hate reading have become avid readers these days, thanks to Facebook and WhatsApp. Facebook has definitely improved our vocabulary, language skills and knowledge๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐ŸผCol Pradeep Pendyala
