My childhood was spent at Rourkela, Calcutta and Durgapur. My father was then transferred to Vizag and I did my entire studies at Vizag. I was extremely skinny during my childhood. I still remember, once I reached my school at Vizag fully drenched in rain. And the entire class welcomed me by shouting, " Skeleton".Thanks to the greeting " skeleton" when I entered my matriculation class at Vizag, I decided to join a gymnasium at a very early age. Surprisingly, I am still very very regular to attend my Gym almost everyday since my childhood. I really wonder, would they ( my Matriculation classmates ) recognize their skeleton today..??

Incredible Punjabees, I Love them...!!
I have lived in every corner of India. I feel
there's no match to the camaraderie and business sense of Punjabees. I
had given my Tennis racquet for repairs and incidentally it was sent to a
neighboring city for the same by the shop owner as the same was not
possible in our town where I was living. I told him, forget it, as I
was leaving that town permanently the very next day. I was surprised to
find the shopkeeper's son bringing my tennis racquet to be delivered at
the station just before my departure..
Break your group...
Whenever I attend a party, I never miss to notice different groups huddled together. All doctors at one corner, all entrepreneurs in a different corner, ladies always forming a separate group and in that also some "more" groups. All the seniors are again left out in one more group. This continues almost till the end of the party except briefly before and after the buffet. The same thing, I notice everywhere. We have shayree wala group, ladies special group, literary intellectual group......well, can we break this " groupism " and join the " party " please..???

Winning first prize in Agra open song competition...
There was a Holi Milan song competition in
Agra in 1996. There were 34 participants in this open competition.
Incidentally, 17 of them including me chose to sing the same song Rang
Barse of Silsila. The judges announced the winners names and did mention
it was literally impossible for them to select the winner because most
of the singers were singing the same song and most of them were
professional singers....but there was only person who sang this number
with identical moves of Amitabh and imitating his voice, and that was
Pradeep. Thus, they declared me to be the winner by unanimous
choice........those were the days...ha ha..

The Clairvoyant..!!
It was a day before my entrance test for MBBS
admission. All day long, I was preparing for the test and in the evening
I felt like taking a stroll to freshen up. I saw a a bevy of people at
one corner of the market. I joined to see what was going on. I saw a man
squatted down on the ground and he was blindfolded with a strip of
cloth. People told me he can foretell our future and he charges a mere
one rupee for that. I dug deep into my pocket and decided to part with
my entire pocket money. I was told I just have to think about my query
and the " Baba " would know. Yes, Baba told me exactly what I was
thinking then. He told me loudly that I would be successful in the exam
which I would be taking the next day. I will have to study a course for
five years and the sixth year from then I would join a Government
organization. Now, I have to part with my only possession then, a one
rupee note....I was about to give it to Baba...and he said...you are
giving me MJ17: 46372865 Note......Yes, it was..!! And, all the things
he said was proved to be RIGHT...!!

How I cleared my Medicine...ha ha
I have a very short attention span since childhood....I managed to get admission in MBBS in Andhra Medical College through common entrance test which just started then and solving MCQ..multiple Choice Questions....because, I am too good in answering if given multiple options..I was one of the toppers in the state then although I could manage a mere 54% in my intermediate exams which is equivalent to Higher Secondary or a plus two. Surprisingly the board gave permission to appear in the medical entrance to everyone with minimum 50% qualifying marks then. Well, my problems multiplied further after joining MBBS because all the text were of almost couple of KGs by weight and I can't imagine myself to even leaf through those books leave alone reading them. Now, naturally you'd ask me how the hell I passed MBBS. Well, I made friendship with my senior girls and managed to take their notes which they had written diligently during the previous semesters. I was surprised to see that girls used to jot down even the jokes quoted in the class rooms. Well, my looks helped me to get the notes from many senior girl students then. And trust me I could pass all the exams without flunking even one subject any time, which itself could be a record those days. Well, that's how I cleared my medicine. ha ha
