Prince Charles & Valentine's Day...

I met Prince Charles on 14 February 1991 at British Council Library situated in Kasturba Road, Bangalore. I was reading Wylie Churchill-Davidson's A Practice of Anesthesia at that time sitting in the library. Those days I was working as PG trainee in Anaesthesiology at Command Hospital, Air Force, Bangalore located in Airport Road. I never had any textbooks bought and I always depended on Library books for reference and managed my MBBS and Post Graduation by borrowing books from the library. Those days, medical books were expensive and there were no Ebooks for free download. Suddenly, there was a huge commotion in the library and I was wondering what might have happened suddenly in the British Library. I noticed, Prince Charles surrounded with girls and ladies in the library. Prince Charles had paid surprise visit to the British Library. When I approached him to greet him, I heard few girls saying " Happy Valentine's Day "...it was Greek to me. Those days, hardly anyone knew about Valentine's Day. As of now, the whole world knows what is Valentine's Day...Col Pendyala Pradeep, Anaesthesiologist.
