Sinister and abusive Pandas of Jagannath Puri...

I was just married then and we decided to have a low budget honeymoon at Konark, Chilka lake, Puri and Bhubaneswar. Our stay at hotel Ashok and Pathanivas was excellent and was easily affordable. Visit to the various temples of Bhubaneswar was great. Lingaraj, Mukteshwar were excellent and our visit to Pipli and applique work of Pipli is unforgettable. Visit to Udaygiri and Khandagiri caves was equally exciting. Sun temple of Konark is a must visit place as well as the famous Chilka lake. Kalinga sight seeing was informative.
But the most disappointing place of our visit was Shri Jagannath Temple of Puri and our encounter with Pandas ..the priests of Jagannath Puri temple. You might not have ever come across anyone so sinister and abusive. I would rather call them robbers who are capable of most heinous acts.

He is an alumni of IIT Kharagpur
He is absolutely alert and agile
I asked him the secret of his being so active at his age
He told me that he regularly gives lectures on scientific topics
at various colleges and he loves reading books
he is a voracious reader
and he is a vegetarian...
