 Deepak was living in a small town. Everyone knew everyone. Education was paramount in that small town. It had idyllic setting and wonderful neighbours. Teachers instilled a love for learning in the young minds. This place was a paradise where beauty, peace and wonderful people flourished. In the heart of this place stood a charming cricket ground where the students gathered to play  and shared their laughter. Elders sat watching them play and engaged in meaningful conversation. Heart attacks

 Healthy people are dying of heart attacks these days especially the younger lot. Obviously, the reasons are high cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes but one thing nobody is talking about is the stress. I sincerely feel, Stress is the biggest cause of heart attack these days.

For God's sake, please don't ignore the tell-tale signs of chest pain, pain radiating to the jaw or shoulders and shortness of breath. And yes, avoid stress as far as possible. Col Pradeep Pendyala

The pantry

 Our Pantry is a symbol of camaraderie and generosity

We find food and comfort here 

We cook we share and we drink here with open hearts

It's where we nourish our bodies and souls

Our choice are diverse

Some like Chicken while some the Amanita Phalloides (mushrooms)

It's where we gather everyday between 1&2 pm after surgery cases

Our Pantry brings the entire staff together

Deepak

 Deepak had everything a person could ever dream of. He had a big house in a big city and lavish lifestyle in a metro. One day he received a job offer from a small town. He's sceptical at first but he felt he needed a change. He moved to that small town. 

He's surprised to find that he's thoroughly enjoying his life in the small town. He's living in a small house which was not comfortable or glamourous but he found it cozy. He started enjoying small walks and friendly people around and he started appreciating small things in life. He found that he's able to make a bigger impact at the place of his work. As time went by Deepak realised he had found something that he had been longing for all his life ...Col Pradeep Pendyala

Belur Math

 As a child, I was very keen to study at Belur ( Math ) Ramakrishna mission school located at Howrah, West Bengal. But my father couldn't afford the admission fees. I always loved a life where students live in hostels in a sprawling campus. I finished my schooling at an ordinary Hindi medium school in West Bengal. Luckily, I could finish my graduation at Andhra Medical College Visakhapatnam and later, I joined Army.  After my Army life, finally, I'm living in my dream campus. I live a life exactly like a student but teach as a professor of Anaesthesiology...Col Pradeep Pendyala

 Again it's Sunday

Relaxing listening to music and watching movies

Endorsement of delight and joy by the pleasant air

Hopes and dreams are plentiful

I've no intentions of missing the birds in the branches and the children playing cricket

Twilight

 In the twilight of my life

I chose to be away from my home 

To be amidst college students

My day begins with them

And ends with them

In the midst of learning and teaching

Exploring science medicine and Anaesthesia

Amidst enjoyment fun laughter and mirth

This is God's will for me

Anaesthesiologist

 I watched you breathe 

I made you feel comfortable when you opened your eyes

After a long long sleep

I stood  at the head end

When you're without space and time

In total oblivion and the surgeon was busy

And there's only silence

And i was busy charting monitoring and  balancing infusions 

There's massive bleeding but i was mentally strong 

And made sure you smiled at the end of the surgery...
