My pedda nana used to request me to sing a song very often, whenever I had visited him at Adityapur of Jamshedpur...today, the same song was being aired in AIR...Khiza Ke Phool Pe Aati Kabhi Bahar Nahi - a song from Do Raaste, Rajesh Khanna starrer...of 70s. I did ask him once, why did he like that particular song so much..he replied, he was mesmarised by the voice of an anonymous pedestrian singing the same song while he was cycling back home. This song took me a trip down the memory lane with nostalgia...my summer vacation was always spent at Tatanagar those days, at Kadma, with my sister Lakshmiakka and Buchchinana, my uncle with exceptional culinary skills. Buchchinana loved dressing well and talk incessantly on any and every topic with authority. My peddanana, whom I can never forget, was a great body builder, philosopher and of course, a fan of my songs those days. My father had five brothers, all were excellent in playing football, my father was the youngest and could never sing a song except Jana Gana mana...our national anthem...my mother was equally bad at singing, she could learn only one song in her entire life, Janani shiva kamini...well, my Papanana was a great singer, he used to sing emulating KL Sehgal...rather, exactly like him. And yes, he was the most erudite and disciplined person I've ever known, he later became the branch manager of Tatas.

Achha Lagta Hai...
Ravindra Arora

Happy Sunday...
May the flowers fill your heart with beauty,
May hope forever wipe away your tears,
And, above all, may silence make you strong.
- Chief Dan George
The beauty of the trees, the softness of the air,
the fragrance of the grass speaks to me.
The summit of the mountain, the thunder of the sky,
The rhythm of the sea, speaks to me.
The faintness of the stars, the freshness of the morning,
the dewdrop on the flower, speaks to me.
The strength of the fire, the taste of salmon, the trail of the sun,
and the life that never goes away, they speak to me
And my heart soars....
Wishing you all a Happy Sunday....regards and best wishes, Dr Pendyala Pradeep.

Baal Diwas...
Ab bhee train ka window wala seat hee chahiye
Ab bhee picture dekhte huve kho jata hun
Ab bhee Golgappe, Icecream, Cadbury aur Rasgulla
ke liye zid karta hun
Ab bhee patang udhane mein utna hee mazaa hai
jitna tab tha......
Aaj bhee naye picture, naye kapdhe
baarish ki boonde,
mitti ki sondhi khushboo
utna hee pasand hai
jitney tab the...
Aaj bhi mandir Prasad khane ke liye hee jata hun
Aaj bhi saare buzurg mujhe mere maa baap lagte hain
Aaj bhi bachhon ke saath khelne mein
utna hee mazaa aata hai
jitna tab tha...
Baal Diwas Mubarak ho
Aapko bhi
mujhe bhee...

Elysium...
Just watched the movie, Elysium. It is an excellent action movie with a social message. Jodie Foster was very impressive and Matt Damon was too good. Fights are surreal and pace is fast. You may like the movie...strongly recommended.
PS. It is rather a Sci-fi movie and I have uploaded the picture of Jodie Foster instead of Matt Damon...for the reason, I know a person who looks exactly like Jodie Foster...

Krishna...
Krishna had 16,000 wives
but he loved his Radha...
People do sing in front of thousands of audience
but the singer sings only for one person in his heart
You may have thousands of Friends...
but your true friend remains only one
you may listen to thousands of songs
but your favorite will be always one
You might have visited hundreds of places
but your home town can never be altered
you may be taught by tens of teachers
but favorite teacher can never be changed
your well wishers would give you hundreds of advices
but you remain exactly the same as you were
and your basic ideas rarely change
strange are the ways of Karma and of course, Krishna...!!

Besharam...
Just saw the movie Besharam for the second time...
interestingly, the film's tagline is...
"No yearning for respect, no fear of humiliation"
I saw it for the beautiful dances, excellent performances of Ranbeer Kapoor, Rishi, Neetu Singh and of course, my favourite Javed Jaffrey.
The movie may not be a hit at the box office, but I liked it. I would recommend it to be watched .
