Phata Poster...Nikla Hero...

Just saw the movie Phata Poster Nikla Hero...Shahid was too good in comedy, action and emotion scenes. The comedy was good and neat. Ileana was presentable and sweet. Shahid was really good at dancing too. Yes, the movie is full of cliches, but it is entertaining and fun to watch. Recommended...

Do Pahar...

Bahut Door jana hai hamein
Rishta nibhana hai hamein
Kahaani sunana hai hamein
Kirdaar nibhaana hai hamein
............
these were my spontaneous words on being asked by the director of the movie, Do Pahar...Ms Sharifa Roy...who was talking to me onstage after her movie was shown in our club.
I felt, there was a subtle innuendo of going to the extent of killing your own son if you are constantly abused by him. Well, when I asked her killing is not the solution for strained relationships, she couldn't reply convincingly.
I shall post all those pictures with her in a day or two.
However, I must say the short movie of 29 minutes is excellent, it has already bagged many international awards, wherever it was shown
Highly recommended to be watched....

Dear Friends, I have been conducting International Day of the elderly for the past two years. It is on 01 Oct...it is a special day to commemorate the elderly, their contributions to the society, recalling their achievements and of course, to reassess their present needs...
this year we are conducting it a bit late...
and this year, I am going to add these few lines during my speech( they were written by my friend Amit Harsh...
मसरूफियत .. तो कभी कुछ और .. देकर हवाला हमने
सुनने को किस्से उनसे ... न कभी वक़्त निकाला हमने

जाता रहा गुमां कि ...... ‘हम’ करते थे हिफाज़त उनकी
बाद रुखसत के उनकी .. लगाया घर पे जब ताला हमने

Dear Gandhi, we miss you...!!

This is part of the letter which I wrote two years ago
this was published in Hindustan Times...
There is no denying that Gandhian influence in some way
still speaks to the conscience of the world as the world
grapples with international problems.The world is still
disillusioned with the thought that the only way we could
solve our problems and dispute with our neighboring country
is with an armed revolt. There is an urgent need to follow
the Gandhian principle of nonviolence,otherwise, we may end
up by destroying ourselves.I really wonder, where is love in
this world today for our brethren, our concern for our
country and other countries. Who will bring the social
transformation? Dear Gandhi, we miss you!
